GET a FIX

This little gem is tucked away in a quiet  space next to the Botanical Gardens at the top end of Caledon Street, George.  This is a child friendly venue where kids have fun (and milkshakes) while moms wander through the nursery and afterwards sip on their coffee. In summer the children play under leafy green trees while the Outeniqua Mountain watches over them, but being winter and rainy a Bedouin style tent was erected to provide some protection against the elements.  The menu at Get a Fix is small, but still provides a good choice to everyone. BLIKI TIN SHACK

Today is one of those CAW days in the Garden Route (with only a max of 12º C). So let me explain for those of you visiting our beautiful area.  George has the appropriate car number plate sign of CAW which our locals refer to as cold and  wet due to the rain which at times can softly fall for days on end and the cold comes and settle in your bones. Then it is time to seek some comforts to put a bit of sunshine in your day.  This sunshine you will find at Bliki Tin Shack on the R102 which runs parallel to the N2 if you travel from George to Groot Brak River.
